Job Title: Process Automation Specialist – Commissioning & Controls

  • Minimum 8–10 years of process automation experience required.
  • Willing to travel approximately 50% annually for site commissioning and project execution.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a hands-on field environment with industrial equipment and control systems.
Key Technical Competencies:
  • Proficient in PLC programming using Ladder Logic and Function Block Diagram (FBD) development.
  • Experience with PID programming, loop tuning, and real-time data acquisition.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols including Modbus, CC-Link, RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Wireless, and IoT technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with MQTT protocol implementation and SCADA/HMI system integration.
  • Knowledge of IO list preparation, review, and validation on various platforms such as Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Schneider.
Instrumentation and Electrical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of thermocouple, pressure, and level transmitters/switches operation and maintenance.
  • Experience with proximity sensors, modulating valves, and other field devices installation and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control earthing practices and power earthing principles.
Site and Field Experience:
  • Proven track record of successful site commissioning projects.
  • Hands-on experience with panel wiring, termination, and setup in the field.
  • Ability to work effectively in physically demanding environments during site setup and execution.
Project and Managerial Capability:
  • Leadership experience managing teams and technicians in industrial automation projects.
  • Hands-on experience with project coordination, vendor management, and procurement.
  • Responsibility for delivering high-quality project outcomes within given timelines.
Documentation and Communication:
  • Strong understanding of functional design specification (FDS), IO documentation, and wiring diagram creation.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, emails, and team communications.
  • Experience with remote diagnostics and cloud integration tools.
