Senior Data Architect Position

This role requires a seasoned data professional to lead our team in designing and implementing scalable data architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling techniques, and ETL processes.

  • Select and integrate big data tools and frameworks to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using ETL processes, monitoring performance and advising infrastructure changes.
  • Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.
  • Investigate and analyze alternative solutions for data storing and processing to ensure streamlined approaches.

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team that drives innovation and excellence in data architecture. They will conduct technical training sessions and review project outputs for junior staff.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles - Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS.
  • Experience with big data querying tools such as Pig, Hive, Impala.
  • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume, Apache NiFi, or DBT.
  • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Good understanding of Lambda Architecture and its advantages and drawbacks.
