Overview

Microland Limited is seeking a seasoned Technical Center of Excellence (CoE) Engineer to spearhead the design, configuration, and maintenance of large-scale enterprise network environments. As a subject matter expert, you will drive innovation, deliver best-in-class solutions, and support hybrid multi-vendor networks.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth technical expertise in Juniper Networks Routing and Switching, Mist AI, and Cisco Technologies. With a strong understanding of routing protocols, network automation tools, and SDN concepts, you will analyze network performance metrics and provide solutions to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Juniper Networks Routing and Switching:
  • Design, configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level routing and switching infrastructure using Juniper products (EX, QFX, MX series, etc.).
  • Provide expertise in Juniper's routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, to optimize and troubleshoot network designs.
  • Implement advanced network features such as Virtual Chassis, Junos OS, and SDN (Software-Defined Networking).
  • Analyze network performance metrics and provide solutions to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Mist AI / Juniper Mist Solutions:
  • Lead the integration and deployment of Mist AI-powered solutions, focusing on intelligent network automation, wireless, and edge AI for enterprise environments.
  • Optimize wireless networking and AI-driven insights through Mist's cloud-based platform for performance tuning and network automation.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize the wireless infrastructure with Mist's AI-driven analytics, including traffic patterns, predictive insights, and anomaly detection.
  • Provide technical support for Mist's virtual assistant (Marvis) and other AI-driven capabilities to enhance the user experience.
  • Cisco Networking Experience:
  • Leverage deep experience with Cisco networking technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, and ISR/ASR routers) to ensure best practices are followed for enterprise deployments.
  • Apply expertise in Cisco routing, switching, security, and wireless technologies to deliver seamless multi-vendor solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues in mixed environments, incorporating both Cisco and Juniper products, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Technical Leadership & CoE Support:
  • Act as a technical leader and SME for the CoE team, providing guidance and support to other engineers and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead design workshops, solution architecture sessions, and POCs (Proofs of Concept) involving Juniper and Mist technologies.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and training initiatives to elevate the technical capabilities of the team.
  • Develop and document best practices, guidelines, and playbooks for Juniper and Mist solutions.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support sales teams with presales engineering, solution design, and product demonstrations.
  • Engage with customers and vendors to ensure successful implementation and resolution of complex technical challenges.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Juniper Networks Routing and Switching (EX, QFX, MX series) and familiarity with Junos OS.
  • Strong understanding of Mist AI technologies, with hands-on experience in deploying and managing AI-driven wireless solutions.
  • Solid knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including Catalyst, Nexus, and ISR/ASR routers.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and SDN concepts.
  • Proficient in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.).
  • Experience with Wi-Fi design and deployment, including RF (Radio Frequency) management, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Familiarity with security protocols and network access control (NAC) technologies.
  • Certifications:
  • Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS) – Routing and Switching (preferred).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing & Switching (preferred).
  • Mist AI certifications (preferred).
  • Other relevant certifications (e.g., JNCIP, CCIE, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Juniper Networks Routing and Switching and Cisco Networking Technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Mist AI and cloud-managed networking solutions.
  • Proven experience in leading network design, configuration, and troubleshooting in large-scale environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hybrid multi-vendor environments and interoperability challenges.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
