About the Role

As a Mechanical Design Expert, you will play a key role in developing innovative and efficient design schemes for Customized Vacuum Systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our products operate effectively, reliably, and safely.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in designing customized systems. You should be able to interpret sub-vendor drawings and incorporate them into Edwards' designs as applicable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing Customized Vacuum Systems that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with Proposal and Project Engineers to produce high-quality documents.
  • Interpreting sub-vendor drawings and incorporating them into Edwards' designs.
  • Selecting appropriate department instructions and standards and applying them to design schemes.
  • Raising operational, fitment problems, scope issues, maintenance space issues with Proposal/Project Engineer to ensure they are resolved with minimal loss of time.
  • Acting on feedback from Manufacturing and or suppliers to enhance documentation within the Systems office.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of an automated design package.
  • Numerate, accurate, and able to communicate effectively, work, and perform in a team environment.
  • Solid understanding of Design and Piping standards followed in Industry.
  • Working knowledge of Line Sizing calculations and Line Routing for Equipment Layout preparation considering space limitation and maintenance aspects.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, orientation in modern IT structures and processes.
