Cloud Network Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Network Team Lead to drive our cloud network infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will have around 6-8 years of experience in data center networking, with a strong focus on Software Defined Networking (SDN) in private clouds and virtualization environments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, installing, maintaining, and managing the equipment needed to provide high-performance Cloud Network Infrastructure. This includes physical and SDN network frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high availability, flexibility, and network performance, while maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain, audit, review, and update infrastructure documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the client and team members on day-to-day changes, incidents, and requests, providing technical expertise and guidance where necessary.
- Oversee a team of Network Engineers, evaluate their performance, and provide feedback to the team and HR.
- Monitor and analyze key performance and capacity metrics to assess risks and business impact, making recommendations to improve the network infrastructure.
- Prepare and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals related to cloud network infrastructure.
- Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities, including Proof of Concept.
Requirements:
This is an in-depth technical role requiring proven experience and hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong fundamentals and understanding of Data Center network technologies, including WAN & Routing, Security, Switching, and Quality of Service (QoS). Familiarity with SDN Technologies and advanced troubleshooting skills are also essential.
- At least 6-8 years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining DataCenter networks, L2/L3 technologies, Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and wireless devices.
- Strong understanding of WAN & Routing technologies, including Leased lines, GRE VPNs, IPSEC based VPNs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRRP/HSRP, EVPN, etc.
- Security technologies, including Firewalls, ACLs, NAT, IPS, IDS, RADIUS, TACACS+, IAS, VPN technologies.
- Switching technologies, including VLANs, VXLAN, LACP, EtherChannel, 802.3ad, VTP, 802.1q.
- Familiarity with QoS, including basic QoS commands and implementations.
- Network monitoring protocols and tools, such as SNMP, NetFlow, Zabbix, PRTG, etc.
- Good knowledge of SDN Technologies, preferably hands-on experience with any one of the SDN providers – VMWare NSX, Juniper Contrail/Tungsten, Arista, Cisco, etc.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly narrow down and resolve problems.
- Highly motivated individual with effective project management and completion of complex network tasks.
- Motivated learner with ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep networking skills current with emerging technologies.
- Experience in handling a team of minimum 4 people in this role.
