Interior Designer Job Description

The primary responsibility of an interior designer is to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interior spaces. This involves planning and designing the layout, selecting colors, materials, and finishes, and specifying fixtures and equipment.

In this role, you will work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and plan interior spaces, considering factors such as space planning, lighting, and color schemes.
  • Create construction drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Select and manage FF&E, including furniture, fixtures, and equipment, to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and maintain effective project timelines, ensuring timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Space Planning and Interior Design.
  • Experienced in creating and interpreting Construction Drawings.
  • Knowledgeable in Interior design and FF&E selection and management.
  • Excellent visual and spatial awareness skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
