Mobile Device Management Specialist - Job Summary

Our company is seeking a skilled Mobile Device Management Specialist to provide application support and maintenance for mobile devices, with a focus on MDM and EMM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • MDM System Implementation: Establish a robust Mobile Device Management system, compatible with Android devices only, to facilitate unified management and policy enforcement via Microsoft Intune. This involves designing, implementing, and maintaining the MDM system to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Device Enrolment: Develop streamlined device enrolment processes, including bulk and self-service options, ensuring efficient onboarding of corporate mobile devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining device enrolment procedures, as well as providing training to IT staff and end-users.
  • Security Policies: Build and implement security policies, covering encryption, password protocols, permitted applications, remote wipe, and secure connectivity to internal resources. This requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement security policies that meet business needs while minimizing risk.
  • Integration and Configuration: Configure integration with internal Entra applications and tools, establishing secure authentication and authorization for mobile users. The ideal candidate will have experience with integrating multiple systems and applications to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Support and Training: Provide support and training resources for end-users and IT staff, including onboarding assistance, troubleshooting guides, and escalation procedures. This involves creating and maintaining knowledge base articles, conducting regular training sessions, and providing ongoing support to ensure smooth operations.
  • MDM Environment Oversight: Maintain ongoing oversight of the MDM environment, regularly updating policies and monitoring compliance, device health, and security threats. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions to maintain a secure and compliant MDM environment.
  • Mobile VPN Solution: Architect and configure a mobile-based Android VPN solution to access applications not accessible via public cloud. This requires designing and implementing a VPN solution that meets business requirements while ensuring data security and integrity.
  • Tier 2/3 Support: Provide Tier 2/3 level support for ticket escalated for Mobile Device Management (MDM) enrolment/management/imaging issues escalated from front-line IT teams and other internal IT resources for Hypercare period.
  • Ownership Transition: Support transition of ownership and management of Intune Endpoint platform to new provider, recipient, or staff. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have experience with Mobile Device Management, Enterprise Mobility Management, and Microsoft Intune. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
