Senior Java Developer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java developer to join our team. As a senior member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality software solutions using modern Java technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java's core principles, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and design patterns.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have hands-on experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud-native development.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and maintainable software systems using Java 17+.
  • Collaborate on event-driven systems using Kafka and apply architectural patterns like Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Develop and deploy applications in the public cloud using services like Cloud Run, GKE, GCS, etc.

Technical requirements:

  • Deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations.
  • Experience with newer Java features (preferably Java 17+).
  • Proficiency in immutable data structures, pure functions, and clean code principles.

Microservices & Architecture:

  • Strong knowledge of microservices design patterns, including Choreography (Kafka-based), Strangler Pattern, and Sidecar Pattern.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or other message brokers in an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).

Cloud & DevOps:

  • Hands-on experience deploying applications in the public cloud.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Run, GKE, GCS, or equivalents in other clouds.
  • Understanding of deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices.
