Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize infrastructure using code, providing guidance and recommendations for Microsoft Azure technology development and advancement.
  • Integrate and automate standardized Azure deployments, working with orchestration products such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Azure ARM templates.
  • Serve as the escalation point for level three Azure-related issues, offering technical support, fault resolution, and mentoring for operational run teams locally and remotely.
  • Translate business requirements into effective solutions.
  • Maintain and deliver documentation for design, development, build, and deployment methods, ensuring proper source control management.
  • Collaborate with support teams, providing guidance and assistance.
  • Lead security hardening and testing efforts, offering complementary support and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field along with relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Experience as a Data Engineer on Azure Cloud.
  • Proficiency in PySpark, Azure Data Factory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of public cloud environments and industry trends.
  • Significant experience supporting designing and developing public cloud solutions via Infrastructure as Code including Terraform and ARM.
  • Extensive DevOps experience.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in security hardening and testing.
  • Proven ability to create and update accurate documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard office hours and weekends as required.
