Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Firmware Software Architect to join our team at Teksun.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing firmware for embedded systems, with a strong understanding of low-level programming languages such as C/C++.

You will be responsible for analyzing domain-specific technical requirements, modifying software as needed, performing software testing, writing integration code, and documenting technical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze domain-specific technical or low-level requirements and modify software as per end customer or system requirement.
  • Perform software testing including unit, functional, and system-level requirements using both manual and automated methods.
  • Write firmware for specific system modules.
  • Develop integration code and push requests to the Git repository.
  • Conduct peer reviews of code, following coding guidelines and static code analysis.
  • Troubleshoot software problems of limited difficulty.
  • Document technical deliverables such as software specifications, design documents, code commenting, test cases, and test reports throughout the project lifecycle.
  • FOLLOW defined process for software development life cycle.
  • Provide technical support to the team and contribute to their growth.
  • Generate reusable code that can be contributed to Teksun's Code Bank.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and skills.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in C/C++ programming languages.
  • Working experience in bare metal, RTOS, and device driver development.
  • LINUX board bring-up and kernel-level programming skills, device driver development.
  • End-to-end design and architecture-level experience in embedded and IoT-based products.
  • Knowledge of ARM-based processors and microcontrollers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong debugging skills and hands-on experience with coding.
  • Object-oriented fundamentals and design.
  • Reading schematics, datasheets, technical reference manuals, and Silicon revision sheets.
  • Using tools like Logic Analyzers, DSO/CRO, Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, GIT, SVN, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Team leadership and/or project management experience in multi-cultural, multi-disciplined teams.
Good to Have:
  • Understanding of Android architecture and elements like AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, System Services, Android Framework, and AOSP.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, AZURE, or Google Cloud.
  • Power management for low-power devices.
  • Experience with Android, Java, and Kotlin.
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
