Senior Internal Auditor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Internal Auditor to join our team. As a key member of our internal audit function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our control environment and risk management processes.

  • Contribute to the development of an annual IA plan that covers the whole organization.
  • Follow the IA methodology and from time to time contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the framework and methodology.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and develop strong communication skills.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.
  • Complete or contribute to IA fieldwork and reporting as required.
  • Provide constructive recommendations focused on internal control and value-add recommendations.
  • Prepare clear and timely audit reports.
  • Support the oversight of co-source IA activity.
  • Initiate new audits by engaging management, drafting audit Terms of Reference (Scope) and seeking executive approval.
  • Maintain effective relationships with management.
  • Assist in coordinating and executing the Internal Audit follow up of overdue actions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Five plus years of relevant experience in an Internal Audit environment including IT technology audit within a professional services firm or a financial services context.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of technology internal controls and a desire to deliver quality audit outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global team.
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to information technology (e.g. CISA etc).
