Ab Initio Developer Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Ab Initio developer to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in Ab Initio ETL development and production support.
  • They should be well-versed in various phases of the solution lifecycle, including requirement gathering, estimation, ETL design, development, reviews, UAT testing, migration, and production go-live implementation.
  • Experience with coordinating with customers and business stakeholders to build relationships is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the broader Ab Initio tool suite and latest versions such as CoOp & EME, Continuous Flows, Control Center, ConductIT, advanced Ab Initio components is required.
  • Proficiency in Cooperating Systems and GDE concepts is necessary.
  • Extensive experience in Graphical Development Environment (GDE) and creating graphs for various scenarios using basic components is expected.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Meta Environment (EME) version control, dependency analysis, commands, air commands, sandboxes, etc., is required.
  • Good working experience with all Ab Initio components, parallelism techniques, and data extraction, transformation, and loading in data warehouse environments is essential.
  • Ability to review FSD/business requirement documents, consult on project scope and timelines, size, estimate, and groom stories for development and deployment per agile methodology is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL jobs for automation, monitoring, and responsible job performance optimization using ETL development tools or custom-developed procedures is required.
  • Implementing design decisions using design patterns and plans in Ab Initio and creating Unix wrapper scripts for complex transformation logic is essential.
  • Experience working in an agile project development lifecycle and proficiency in Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Shell scripting are necessary.
  • Ability to provide production support, handle incidents, and provide RCA is required.
  • Grooming junior resources in the team on the technology and support is desirable.
