Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer with experience in the Automotive Industry to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India Private Limited.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify software for functional safety and functionality
  • Influence and support the launch of products
  • Develop and maintain work products defined by safety standards
  • Establish and monitor development flows and processes
  • Handle software compliance against safety standards
  • Work closely with responsible teams for software changes and maintenance
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with architecture and software teams
  • Plan and post-process activities of ISO Safety-Lifecycle
  • Accountable for functional and technical safety concepts within projects
  • Support and execute relevant quantitative and qualitative Safety Analysis
  • Analyze software for functional safety standards such as ISO for different ASIL requirements
  • Perform confirmation measures, reviews, audits, and assessments
  • Strong collaboration and cooperation with Program Manager, Project Manager, Architects, Developers, Testers, and Customer

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industry experience in a related field
  • B.E./B.Tech. or higher degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering and certified Functional Safety Manager
  • Good understanding of software quality concepts and processes
  • Practical experience with certifying software against known industry standards like ISO
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and coding standards like Automotive MISRA or similar
  • Strong background in real-time embedded operating systems
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals
  • Knowledge on System, Hardware, and Software
  • Experience in creation of safety concepts and Overview on Safety Analysis
  • Knowledge about product development process
  • Experience in Quality Management
  • Knowledge IEC, Automotive SPICE/CMMI aspects
  • Strong skills in communication, presentation, and problem-solving
  • Flexible and autonomous working with global interfaces
  • A strong teammate, self-motivated with a positive attitude
