Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage and strategize end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of a portfolio of personal loans through digital channels.

This role involves creating policies that ensure the company's goals are met while minimizing risk. The successful candidate will work closely with data science teams to analyze underwriting models, validate their performance, and identify areas for improvement.

  1. Developing policies that cater to different product constructs
  2. Collaborating with stakeholders to analyze the effectiveness of underwriting models
  3. Determining performance benchmarks and implementing corrective actions when necessary
  4. Automating credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness
  5. Determining the right pricing strategy based on segmentation
  6. Standardizing policies and processes across the organization

Main Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Portfolio analysis and recommending policy changes to senior management
  2. Periodical credit reviews of existing portfolios and conducting analyses to identify high-risk segments
  3. Taking proactive measures to mitigate risks identified through portfolio performance analysis
  4. Maintaining delinquency rates within acceptable limits
  5. Identifying technological solutions to improve existing processes and overall portfolio management functions

New Partner Integrations:

This role requires understanding new partner products, identifying relevant customer segments, and developing policies tailored to these segments. The successful candidate will facilitate data room exercises, monitor policy implementation, and resolve any bottlenecks encountered during the process.

Key Qualifications:

To excel in this position, you must have:

  • A postgraduate degree in finance, statistics, or management from a reputable institution
  • At least 7 years of experience in risk management and policy creation, with 3-4 years in leadership roles
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets using various tools and techniques
  • Data-driven decision-making skills and analytical approach
