Structural Design Expert

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our team.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to design structural components for various products, including enclosures, frames and ancillary systems for new product development.

  • Create detailed mechanical designs with a focus on structural integrity, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and specifications.
  • Perform comprehensive structural analysis and hand calculations to validate the performance and safety of designs under various loading conditions.
  • Strong understanding of materials science and strength of materials is required.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into final products.
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, analysis reports and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices to continuously enhance design process and product offerings.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulations and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Able to produce both concept and detailed designs using CAD software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to perform complex calculations and simulations.
  • Strong knowledge of welding symbols and standards, as well as geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, teaming and analytical skills are essential.
