Manufacturing ERP Consultant – Part-Time Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced consultant with expertise in Infor or Epicor Manufacturing ERP systems to support our team in creating a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is a part-time consulting assignment ideal for professionals with strong domain and solution knowledge who can guide RFP structuring, requirement articulation, and vendor evaluation criteria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze business needs specific to manufacturing processes and provide strategic guidance on implementation approaches.
  • Utilize domain and product expertise in Infor or Epicor Manufacturing ERP to shape the RFP scope and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Assist in drafting functional and technical requirements for ERP implementation, focusing on key performance indicators and return on investment.
  • Develop vendor evaluation parameters and scoring frameworks that meet client expectations and support informed decision-making.
  • Review and validate RFP content to ensure completeness, accuracy, and clarity, while maintaining stakeholder engagement throughout the process.
  • Offer insights on licensing models, cost structures, and integration strategies relevant to Infor/Epicor, supporting clients in making informed technology decisions.
  • Provide ad-hoc consultations during the RFP drafting and vendor shortlisting phases, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution of queries.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Infor Manufacturing or Epicor ERP, demonstrating expertise in system design, implementation, and optimization.
  • A proven track record in ERP consulting, presales, or solution design, showcasing ability to drive business outcomes through technology solutions.
  • Experience in RFP creation, proposal review, or vendor selection processes, highlighting skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing industry processes, including production planning, supply chain management, inventory control, and shop floor operations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on building trust and delivering results-oriented solutions.
