Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves testing software products to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and user satisfaction.

The primary responsibility is to identify defects, reproduce them with the development team, and collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Executing test cases to ensure product functionality meets specified requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various software applications.
  • Providing input into the overall QA strategy, including test planning, risk assessment, and resource allocation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance testing, preferably in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in test case management tools (e.g. JIRA), defect tracking systems, and test automation tools (e.g. Selenium).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases for data validation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are desirable.

Requirements

  • Experience with performance testing, security testing, and mobile testing is a plus.
  • Having knowledge of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) is advantageous.
