We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced automation professional to lead the design and development of automated systems and processes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in substation or industrial automation, is proficient in leading teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments, and is an expert in communication protocols.

Job Requirements
  • Lead project scope understanding and execute all engineering activities from design to implementation, including schedule estimates, to ensure final deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Design substation and industrial automation systems, including network architectures, I/O signal lists, and schematic drawings, and prepare bills of materials (BOMs)/bills of quantities (BOQs) for various equipment.
  • Develop configurations and settings for network switches, data concentrators, RTUs, SCADA systems, and PLCs, and perform quality reviews for all project deliverables.
  • Coordinate design activities with other departments and provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members, delegating tasks and fostering collaboration.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or Instrumentation.
  • 8-12 years of work experience in the design, configuration, or testing of substation automation systems or PLC-based projects.
  • Expert knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures, strong knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC-61850, and experience with software tools like SEL AcSELerator RTAC and SEL Architect Diagram Builder.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation projects and experience with utility clients are advantageous.

They will be able to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to lead cross-functional teams, prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
