Senior Payroll Manager

The Senior Payroll Manager is a highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing the completion of the full payroll cycle processing accurately, on-time and in compliance with legislation.
- This includes reviewing and approving bi-weekly payroll transmissions, ensuring payroll is balanced and all payroll tax accounts are reconciled.
- The role also involves preparing and reconciling all year-end payroll activities and accounts in required deadlines.
- A key aspect of this job is overseeing all aspects of payroll reporting and payroll tax remittances (bi-weekly, quarterly, and annually).
Key Responsibilities:
- Process new hires, timesheet, and payroll changes in a timely manner.
- Review and analyze reports to ensure the integrity of balances of payroll accounts, including reconciliations, government and other remittances, expenses, as well as internal and external audit compliance and reviews.
- Maintain payroll systems including testing and implementation to ensure accurate functionality.
- Evaluate existing payroll processes and work towards improvements through collaboration.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation and income tax return.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify issues, creatively propose viable solutions and implement appropriate changes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to enable effective teamwork.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently to respond to tight timelines.
