Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our data governance initiatives, ensuring the integrity and quality of our enterprise data assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in data governance, with hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining data governance processes using tools like Collibra, Informatica EDC/Axon, Alation etc.

Responsibilities will include designing and implementing data quality management, metadata standardization and stewardship processes across different data domains, creating and enforcing data governance rules including taxonomy, reference data standards, lineage capture and data cataloguing.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for setting up operational models, managing stakeholder alignment, supporting compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA and evolving Indian regulations under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

In addition, they will lead technical team delivery on roadmap milestones, monitor DG KPIs and guide adoption of governance tools and technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Data Governance/Data Quality/Metadata management roles.
  • Proven hands-on experience with key DG platforms: Collibra, Informatica, Alation etc.
  • Strong technical skills in scripting (Python, SQL), metadata/configure pipelines, automation, data engineering or ETL/ELT flows.
  • Experience in establishing and monitoring data quality metrics, conduct data profiling, audits and root-cause analysis to drive improvements.
  • Working knowledge of cloud environments and integration practices (AWS, Snowflake, databases).
  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile methods, Jira/Confluence, DevOps & data platform operations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and leadership abilities to coordinate across cross-functional teams.
