Embedded Boot Firmware Architect

Description:

The Embedded Boot Firmware Architect is a key member of our team, responsible for developing and implementing boot firmware strategies. This involves ensuring secure, reliable, and optimized startup flows for complex SoCs and automotive-grade ECUs.

This role requires the ability to work across cross-functional teams, including hardware, silicon, software, and security departments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ARMv8 architectures, C/C++ programming, and low-level debugging.

We are seeking an experienced professional with 12–15 years of experience in embedded firmware/bootloader development. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with BootROM, Secure Boot, Measured Boot, PSA Attestation APIs, and Trusted Firmware-A/M (TF-A/TF-M).

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize bootloader and BootROM firmware for ARM Cortex-M/R/A based platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware, silicon, and software teams to ensure compliance with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, FIPS, and NIST standards.
  • Leverage knowledge of hardware specs, silicon bring-up, MMU/MPU configuration, and secure execution environments to deliver robust and secure solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide architecture reviews to promote best practices and innovation.

Requirements:

  • 12–15 years of experience in embedded firmware/bootloader development.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with BootROM, Secure Boot, Measured Boot, PSA Attestation APIs, and Trusted Firmware-A/M (TF-A/TF-M).
  • Familiarity with automotive protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay) and RTOS or bare-metal development.
  • Proven ability to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and platform security principles.
