Job Title: Freelance Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, develop, and optimize data pipelines. This role is ideal for a skilled individual with expertise in Python and AWS services (S3, Glue, Step Functions, PySpark).

About the Opportunity:

This freelance position involves creating data engineering workflows using AWS Glue, PySpark, and Step Functions. The chosen candidate will be responsible for implementing ETL/ELT processes for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data from multiple sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable and reusable Python code for data engineering workflows.
  • Implement unit and integration tests using pytest to ensure data quality and pipeline reliability.
  • Collaborate on Git/GitHub for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD integration.
  • Create clear technical documentation for pipelines, workflows, and design decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and AWS services.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Python and AWS services (S3, Glue, Step Functions, PySpark).
  • Experience with designing and developing data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and implementation.
  • Familiarity with unit and integration testing using pytest.
  • Collaboration skills with Git/GitHub.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.
