Job Overview:

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Data and Analytics Practice Lead to spearhead and develop our Data and Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, managing the team, delivering data-driven solutions to support business goals, engaging in presales activities, and owning revenue growth goals. This role demands a blend of leadership, technical expertise, business acumen, and sales prowess.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Data and Analytics practice.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive data and analytics roadmap aligned with business objectives.
    • Drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Data Strategy and Governance:
    • Develop and enforce data governance policies and practices to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
    • Establish and maintain data standards and best practices.
    • Ensure data quality and consistency across all data sources.
  • Analytics and Insights:
    • Oversee the development and delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and business intelligence solutions.
    • Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of analytics initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and business units to identify data and analytics needs and opportunities.
    • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain the value and impact of data initiatives.
    • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to advance the data agenda.
  • Technology and Innovation:
    • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data and analytics.
    • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance data capabilities.
    • Drive innovation by exploring new data sources and analytical techniques.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the budget for the Data and Analytics practice.
    • Monitor expenditures and optimize resource allocation.
    • Demonstrate the ROI of data and analytics initiatives to senior leadership.
  • Presales Activities:
    • Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and present data and analytics solutions.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop proposals and respond to RFPs.
    • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective clients.
  • Revenue Growth:
    • Own and drive the revenue growth goals for the Data and Analytics practice.
    • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the client base.
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within data and analytics for at least 5-7 years with total experience of 12+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of data management, governance, and analytics tools and technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with big data platforms, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in budget management and demonstrating ROI.
  • Experience in presales activities and achieving revenue growth targets.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., finance, insurance, health, retail).
