Job Opportunity:

Guiding and developing the swimming skills of students is a key responsibility in this position. The primary goal is to ensure continuous growth and achievement, while also promoting desirable personal and social attributes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure students' growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for their age group.
  • Develop desirable personal and social attributes, including fair play, acceptance of success and failure, and cooperation in group situations.
Areas of Focus:
  • Approachability and fairness in treating students.
  • Inculcating discipline in and out of training sessions.
  • Treating children with dignity and respect.
  • Promoting maximum student participation and assisting in analyzing and improving game skills, fitness, and performance.
  • Monitoring progress constantly and adjusting pace accordingly.
  • Ensuring safety through careful planning of practice sessions and use of equipment.
  • Developing each student to a level of skill and competence necessary for competition at the school level.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and participate regularly during workshops with the SPA Coordinator and HOD.
  • Implement SPA training sessions, rules, and a system of play and scouting programme suitable to the sport as per the SPA curriculum.
  • Assume responsibility for equipment and materials issued and ensure they are returned in good condition.
  • Identify and select talent for school teams.
  • Submit assessment reports and monthly activities reports to the Assistant SPA Coordinator/SPA Coordinator.
  • Conduct Fitness and Games Pro classes along with specific activities assigned.
  • Attend and actively participate in all trainings conducted at the Centre.
General Administration:
  • Maintain individual and team assessment records and share them with students and parents at PTMs.
  • Be available for Curriculum workshops, Special Events, IHC, ASD, PTMs on non-working days.
  • Communicate leave, half-day, and late arrivals in advance.
  • Assemble scouting reports for games and review with teams before each match.
  • Report injuries to the Assistant SPA Coordinator/SPA Coordinator.
  • Submit agenda points for MOMs in writing two days in advance.
  • Commit to continuous personal and organizational improvement.
Record Maintenance:

Note: Maintain student strength, SPA attendance records, and student assessment records in sync with Mapping of SPA activity (records of change of activity, new admissions, etc.).

School Policies:
  • Awareness and adherence to all policies affecting coaches and students.
  • Fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Attendance at meetings convened by the SPA Assistant Coordinator/SPA Coordinator/Principal unless prior permission is obtained.
  • Adherence to all policies in force or introduced from time to time.
  • Protection and maintenance of school property.
  • Stock taking of Equipment on a monthly basis.
  • Meeting professional obligations through efficient work habits.
  • Confidentiality of information.
  • Attending training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth demanded by the school.
Special Events:

Active involvement in planning, organizing, and coordination of Annual Sports Day/I.H.C./NSD/VIVA/Republic Day/Independence Day.
