Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in testing and data engineering. The successful candidate will have experience working with large data sets, analytical skills, and good understanding of Data Governance concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand the requirement from HLD/LLD documents
  2. Prepare DEV/UAT environments in Teradata/Unix/Hadoop
  3. Estimate space and allocate it to Teradata DB's in SIT/UAT
  4. Forklift seed data from production to test environment using Teradata utilities
  5. Create forklift jobs in mainframe to move production data to mainframe files with the help of Fast-Export Utility and NDM (copy) the data file to lower lanes in Mainframe
  6. Set up ETL Jobs in regression effort and flow execution in Autosys and Mainframe
  7. Analyze tasks and assign them to team members on a daily basis, participate actively in DSU calls and defect review meetings
  8. Test case preparation with Test Plan and reviewing with Dev team
  9. Develop effective SQL scripts to validate Change Data Capture logic in Teradata
  10. Automation script module creation in TOSCA to execute regression scripts Execute test scripts and upload results to Qtest/QC

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Overall Testing experience Years
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud platform
  • Working knowledge of Structured and Unstructured file formats (e.g., Avro, Parquet)
  • Python programming language
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of SQL language
  • Azure Synapse Workspace, including Pipelines and Spark Notebooks, Pysparks
  • Functional/Regression Testing experience
  • Test Automation experience
  • Git version control system
  • Kafka messaging system
  • Banking Experience
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Analytical skills
  • Visual Studio/C#/Java programming languages
