Job Title: Database Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Data Architect to design, implement and maintain databases that meet our business needs. This role involves creating data warehouses to enhance analytics and reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement database solutions to support business growth.
  • Design and maintain databases to ensure data integrity, security and compliance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize database needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop automated testing scripts to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in database management.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in database engineering, design, and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts including data modeling, normalization and denormalization.
  • Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with data warehousing tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and ETL testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based databases and big data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Glue, and QuickSight.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
