Enterprise Data Archival Specialist

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement an enterprise-level data archival solution.
  • Develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for the data archival process.
  • Design, deploy, maintain, and monitor the data archival infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to upgrade the data archival system and apply necessary fixes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1 year of hands-on experience with IBM Optim data archival tool.
  • Strong understanding of database lifecycle management and SQL for multiple relational database environments.
  • End-to-end expertise in Optim data archive processes, including access definition, archive requests, extract requests, restore requests, and DB alias configuration.
  • Ability to generate reports for archive requests and delete requests for audit purposes.
  • Experience with unstructured data archival and automation skills using Python, shell script, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with mainframe tools like TSO, ISPF, and JCL is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of cloud implementation with data archival and database level encryption.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of total experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications.
