You'll collaborate closely with our CTO and engineering leadership to define our infrastructure philosophy, shaping every aspect of our platform stack, from infrastructure to developer tools. Every decision you make will set the standard for how we build and ship software.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to own outcomes, not just execute tasks. You'll have full ownership of our cloud platform on GCP, designing and implementing our CI/CD pipeline, building our infrastructure-as-code foundation using Terraform, and creating automated security scanning and remediation systems.

As our founding Cloud Architect, you'll be responsible for architecting systems that can handle 100x growth without major rewrites, building cost optimization into our DNA, and creating disaster recovery and backup systems before we need them.

You'll also design observability systems that give developers superpowers in production, create golden paths that make the secure, scalable choice the default choice, and build the self-service platform that lets developers provision infrastructure in minutes, not days.

We're looking for someone who believes infrastructure should be invisible when it works and helpful when it doesn't. You should be able to balance startup speed with enterprise reliability and want to build the platform you wish you had at your last company.

In year one, you'll achieve significant milestones, including complete infrastructure migration to Infrastructure-as-Code, sub-5 minute deployments with automatic rollbacks, 99.9% uptime with comprehensive monitoring, Full SOC2 compliance with automated controls, self-service platform used by every engineer daily, and 50% reduction in infrastructure costs through optimization.

We're looking for deep expertise with GCP services and cloud architecture, strong experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and container orchestration, proficiency in Go or Python for automation, understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks, and a track record of building platforms that scale.
