Teaching Biology in Secondary Schools

We are seeking an experienced biology teacher to instruct students at a reputable school in Mumbai.

  1. Design and deliver engaging lesson plans for students aged 11-18, focusing on the study of living organisms, ecosystems, and biological processes.
  2. Use various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities, including visual aids, group discussions, and hands-on experiments.
  3. Assess student progress through regular quizzes, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
  4. Develop and maintain a supportive classroom environment that encourages active participation, teamwork, and critical thinking.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, share best practices, and support ongoing professional development.
  6. Contribute to departmental meetings, planning sessions, and other staff activities to ensure effective communication and team cohesion.
  7. Participate in school-wide initiatives, such as workshops, training programs, and parent-teacher conferences, to promote academic excellence and community engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Biology, Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in secondary schools.
  • Strong subject matter expertise, particularly in areas like genetics, evolution, and ecology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, priorities, and deadlines.
