Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Research Investigator.

This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry, who has experience in drug discovery from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute research plans to progress projects from hit identification to lead optimization.
  2. Supervise subordinates to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
  3. Prepare periodic reports for internal and external clients.
  4. Ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.
  5. Implement regulatory compliances.
  6. Troubleshoot problem areas of projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work successfully in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 2-8 years of experience in drug discovery from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Excellent understanding of drug discovery concepts, preferably with prior experience of progressing a project from hit identification to lead optimization.
  • Prior experience working with cross-functional teams, including assay biologists, structural biologists, DMPK scientists, computational chemists, and safety pharmacologists.
  • Familiarity with molecular modeling concepts and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis, SAR, SPR, and informatics tools.
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge.
  • Client communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in synthesis planning, synthetic methods, and use of modern chromatographic and analytical tools.
