Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Solutions Architect to join our team at Advance Auto Parts. As a key member of our architecture group, you will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-scale solutions using the latest integration paradigms and API-based interactions.

About You

  • You have 11-15 years of technical experience in architecture development, integration of backend systems, and development.
  • You possess a deep understanding of application, infrastructure, and security architecture, as well as non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, reliability, and availability.
  • You have strong hands-on experience in developing applications using Java/J2EE, Microservices, and Spring Boot framework, with knowledge and experience in AWS/Azure cloud development environments.
  • You are proficient in core Java fundamentals, Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, testing frameworks like JUnit, Kafka, PostGRES, MQ, and RESTful services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing enterprise-scale solutions using the latest integration paradigms and API-based interactions.
  • Sound knowledge in identifying and developing Microservices in a heterogeneous technology and product landscape environment.
  • Sound knowledge of key components of a Microservices architecture, including containers, load balancing, distributed caching methodologies.
  • Knowledge in Docker framework and deployments, container management.
  • Developing large Product Architecture and responsible for the design involving Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, AWS/Azure cloud development environments.
  • Demonstrate the experience in defining a service-based architecture for new business capabilities and/or transformations from legacy implementation.
  • Able to define best practices and standards for the microservice implementation.
  • Able to develop Proof of concepts for new implementations and align with Architecture group & enterprise standards.
  • Lead activities to build accelerators and tools to increase the quality of deliverables.
  • Evaluates industry technologies to shape design of services in consideration of cost, portability, compatibility, feasibility, performance, and usability aspects.
  • Able to identify challenges and suggest appropriate changes to a solution wrt technologies, integrated platforms, and systems to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • HIGHLIGHTS DESIGN RISKS, PROVIDE ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS, AND RECOMMEND QUALITY SOLUTION TO SPECIFIED PROBLEM.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 11-15 years of technical experience within architecture development, integration of backend systems, and development.
  • Deep understanding of Application, Infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability etc.
  • Strong Hands–on experience in developing applications using Java/J2EE, with Microsercvices & Spring boot framework , AWS/Azure cloud development environments knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in core java fundamentals, Java 8+, Spring, Springboot, testing framework Junit, Kafka, PostGRES, MQ, RESTful services,
  • Strong hands-on with design patterns, clean code, Java Microservices (Springboot) Restful APIs
  • Strong in creating/ defining Swagger specs for REST APIs, understand REST principles, Guidelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OAuth token-based authentication protocol.
  • Experience in designing and coding scalable Microservices.
  • Experience developing solutions in AWS/Azure,
  • Experience with middleware/messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, Kafka and exposure to event-driven design patterns.
  • Experience in writing deployment pipelines to deploy Java microservices in Kubernetes.
  • Comfortable implementing continuous integration / continuous delivery process for applications using technologies such as Jenkins and Git.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development, including writing and implementing automated unit, system, and integration tests.
  • experience with Subversion (SVN) and GIT source control; Maven and Ant; JIRA, Confluence, Grails, web security experience such as WS-Security; Eclipse based IDEs

Salary

$170,000 - $200,000 per year.
