About the Role

The position of Senior Fund Accountant is a key appointment that demands extensive experience in fund accounting, private equity, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly close processes and oversee full-cycle accounting in QuickBooks or similar systems to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for clients.
  • Record and track interest, fee, and equity income across structured deals to maintain transparency and compliance.
  • Prepare management reports and investor-ready financial statements that meet high standards of quality and integrity.
  • Support Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) on tax preparation, filings, and fund administration to provide comprehensive services.
  • Review financials from 1–5 portfolio companies and flag variances to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)-compliant reporting across multiple industries to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Standardize reporting templates and assist Chief Financial Officers (CFOs)/finance leads to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of direct fund accounting experience in private equity, private debt, or fund administration with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations to drive financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Background working with companies in the $10M–$100M revenue range to understand industry dynamics and challenges.
  • Ability to manage both fund-level and portfolio-level reporting to provide comprehensive insights.
  • CPA certification preferred to demonstrate expertise and commitment to professional development.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting platforms to leverage technology and improve efficiency.
