We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team in support of microbial testing and quality assurance for vaccine development.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in microbiology testing in a GMP environment, with a focus on vaccines and biopharmaceuticals.

  • Perform routine cell passaging, viability testing, staining techniques, cell counting, and sub-culture activities.
  • Prepare and maintain master and working cell banks, and characterize microbial and mammalian cell lines.
  • Oversee media preparation, sterility testing, environmental monitoring (EMP), and personnel monitoring to ensure sterile conditions.
  • Conduct microbial testing of water samples and in-process samples.
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Executing comprehensive sample collection for environmental monitoring.
  • Managing biowaste, de-contamination, cleaning processes, and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Identifying and analyzing bio-contaminants using various microbiological techniques.
  • Developing and maintaining SOPs for QC testing, following compendial and non-compendial methods.
  • Participating in regulatory audits, ensuring compliance with CDSCO/DCGI, WHO, and US FDA guidelines and standards.

Qualifications:

  • MSc in Microbiology or related life sciences field.
  • At least 4+ years of experience in microbiology testing in a GMP environment.
  • Proficiency in cell banking, cell line characterization, and sterile technique.
  • Familiarity with disinfectant validation, preservative efficacy studies, and bio-contaminant identification.
