As an Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications by designing and implementing automated testing solutions.

The Strategy and Technology Group (STG) at Aon is a new initiative that delivers innovative consulting and technology solutions to its clients. This is a great opportunity to join a growing group and work with a highly skilled, collaborative team of actuarial and software experts who are using the latest technology to deliver next-generation products for insurance markets.

Job Description

  • Work with software engineers, testers, actuaries, and product owners to identify the scope for automated testing
  • Analyze existing systems and write acceptance criteria, including test scenarios written using Gherkin syntax
  • Analyze new complex software features and build appropriate automated tests, including end-to-end Cypress tests, load and performance tests, Web API integration tests, security tests, and non-functional requirement tests
  • Support software engineers during the development and testing phase
  • Review unit tests implemented by software developers and implement unit testing improvements
  • Build useful tools and frameworks to aid continuous development and continuous delivery
  • Debug issues to identify the root cause and use it to improve test coverage
  • Prepare executive summaries of testing coverage and testing gaps

Skills/Competencies Required

  • 6+ years' experience of testing automation for n-tier Web solutions based on modern frameworks, preferably Angular
  • 5+ years' experience of testing automation using BDD with Cypress, Angular 2+, TypeScript, and Cucumber
  • Load and stress testing
  • RESTful service testing
  • HTML 5, CSS 3
  • Solid understanding of software development concepts, including best practices and software design patterns
  • Git with GitFlow
  • Microsoft Visual Studio and VS Code
  • Working in teams using Agile delivery methodology, regularly collaborating with other members of the team

Estimated Salary: ₹12,00,000 - ₹20,00,000 per annum
