Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled MSSQL Database Administrator to join our team at Kyndryl. As a key member of our Database Administration team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining MS SQL databases to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our systems.


Main Responsibilities


Design, implement, and maintain MS SQL databases to ensure data security, backups, and recoverability.


Manage database performance, tuning, and optimization to ensure high levels of performance and efficiency.


Configure and manage database authentication and authorization to ensure secure access to database systems.


Monitor and troubleshoot database issues to minimize downtime and maximize system availability.


Develop and implement database maintenance scripts to ensure data integrity and consistency.


Collaborate with developers on database design and queries to ensure effective data management and analysis.


Requirements


Strong knowledge of MS SQL database administration, including database design, development, and performance tuning.


Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex database issues.


Good communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and maintain accurate records.


Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other technical teams to achieve common goals.


Preferred Qualifications


Microsoft certification (e.g., MCSA, MCDBA) and experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).


Knowledge of database modeling and data warehousing to design and implement efficient data management systems.


Familiarity with other database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) to ensure compatibility and interoperability.
