Senior Project Manager for Sustainable Development

**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Solid Waste Management Specialist at Samvedna Development Society. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background in social work, extensive experience in solid waste management, and a proven track record of working on Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) projects in collaboration with Nagar Nigam (Municipal Corporation of India).
**Responsibilities and Expectations**
- The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies for solid waste management in alignment with the goals and objectives of Samvedna Development Society.
- The ideal candidate will collaborate with local authorities, community stakeholders, and other relevant partners to facilitate the effective implementation of waste management initiatives.
- A comprehensive assessment of current waste management practices will be conducted, identifying areas for improvement.
- The specialist will design and deliver Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns to raise awareness about proper waste disposal, recycling, and environmental conservation.
- Leadership and coordination of Swachh Sarvekshan (Cleanliness Survey) projects in partnership with Nagar Nigam will be an essential responsibility.
- The successful candidate will provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to community members, municipal staff, and other stakeholders involved in waste management activities.
- Performance monitoring and evaluation of Solid waste management projects will be carried out, tracking key indicators and outcomes to assess their impact and effectiveness.
- Detailed reports, documentation, and progress updates on waste management activities will be prepared and submitted, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Staying informed about emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in the field of waste management will be crucial, incorporating relevant knowledge into program design and implementation.
- Representation of Samvedna Development Society at meetings, workshops, and conferences related to waste management and sanitation will be expected.
**Requirements**
- Graduate degree in Master's in Social Work or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) related to solid waste management.
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in solid waste management and Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) projects in collaboration with Nagar Nigam (Municipal Corporation of India).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite and data analysis software.
