Key Role Overview:

As a Product Manager with a strong Data Engineering background, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and managing data products across the enterprise. Leveraging Snowflake as the core platform, your expertise will drive the development of scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines.

  • Develop and execute product strategies, backlogs, and roadmaps for data platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical deliverables, driving successful project outcomes.
  • Partner with architects and developers to build robust data pipelines, leveraging cloud-based technologies and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between offshore delivery teams and US-based business stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Establish key performance metrics to measure data platform product success and drive adoption and usability of Snowflake-based solutions.
  • Support Agile/Scrum delivery teams by facilitating backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives, ensuring continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Technical Product Owner in data-focused projects, with a strong understanding of data architecture and data modeling.
  • Expertise in working with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Snowflake, and solid grasp of ETL/ELT processes, data governance, and quality standards.
  • Prior experience in building and launching data platform capabilities or products, with excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed team settings.
  • Familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, or Fivetran is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in hybrid or offshore delivery models, with adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Background in Data Engineering or Analytics before transitioning to Product roles, providing a unique perspective on data-driven innovation.
  • Exposure to the restaurant or retail industry is beneficial, with potential opportunities for growth and impact.
  • Agile certification (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) is preferred, demonstrating expertise in agile methodologies and principles.
