We are seeking a highly skilled support specialist to drive the stability and performance of large-scale Elasticsearch clusters. This role is perfect for individuals who have expertise in advanced technical support, cluster monitoring, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level technical support for Elasticsearch clusters, ensuring timely and effective resolution of critical production issues.
  • Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Logstash and Beats for real-time data processing, optimizing system efficiency and performance.
  • Tune Elasticsearch performance by adjusting shards, queries, analyzers, and index templates, leading to improved cluster health and reduced downtime.
  • Implement Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) strategies, data retention policies, and archival procedures to maintain optimal cluster functioning.
  • Analyze root causes of systemic issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams, promoting seamless workflow and expertise sharing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5-10+ years of hands-on experience managing Elasticsearch clusters in production environments.
  • Expert understanding of Elasticsearch internals, including Lucene, query planning, and data structures, enabling in-depth optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Strong command over query DSL, aggregations, filters, and performance tuning techniques, allowing for efficient and effective data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Kibana or similar visualization tools for dashboarding and troubleshooting, enhancing data interpretation and decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of JVM tuning, garbage collection strategies, and heap memory optimization, ensuring smooth system operation and minimal downtime.
