Job Title: Cyber Security Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled cyber security specialist to safeguard our systems, networks, and data against internal and external threats. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents to ensure the highest levels of system integrity and data protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security tools and infrastructure to protect against cyber threats.
  • Monitor systems and networks for potential security breaches and investigate violations.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
  • Respond to security incidents and lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Evaluate systems, applications, and network configurations for compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Manage firewalls, antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), security information and event management (SIEM), data loss prevention (DLP), and intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) tools.
  • Maintain documentation related to security architecture, incidents, and processes.
  • Conduct security awareness training for staff and developers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), virtual private networks (VPNs), proxies, and endpoint protection.
  • Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, vulnerability scanners, and forensic tools.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of network and web-related protocols.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications in cybersecurity.
  • Experience with cloud security in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and container security.
