Data Engineering Role

  • We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including analytics and business teams, to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools and foster data-driven decision making across the organization.
  • Your responsibilities will include developing efficient ETL pipelines, performing integration testing, providing estimates for development and deployments, participating in code peer reviews, and collaborating with engineers and analysts to troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • You will also be responsible for defining company data assets, designing data integrations, and designing a data quality framework.

Requirements

  • 4 years of experience with Big Data technologies, including pySpark, Hadoop, and Hive.
  • Good hands-on experience with Python, Bash Scripts, and SQL.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, data analysis, and research skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to think outside of the box and not be dependent on readily available tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with using Cloud Platform provided Big Data technologies.
  • Orchestration with Airflow and job scheduler experience.
  • Experience in migrating workload from on-premises to cloud and cloud to cloud migrations.
