Job Title: Senior Manager IP

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our Intellectual Property (IP) team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to drive strategic growth, develop innovative solutions, and provide expert guidance in the field of IP.

This role will be responsible for developing and managing our growing IP portfolio, enforcing IP processes to ensure timely protection of intellectual property, and working closely with cross-functional teams to identify products for introduction into the development grid, devise effective product development strategies, and draft patents and freedom to operate reports.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the IP portfolio
  • Enforce IP processes
  • Work with Global IP Head, Research and Development, and Portfolio teams
  • Draft patents and freedom to operate reports
  • File and prosecute inventive solutions
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party scientific and patent publications
  • Provide IP-related inputs to support legal agreements and negotiations
  • Partner with other legal and business functions to provide strategic advice and strategy
  • Manage patent, trademark, copyright, and related issues
  • Educate management and scientists on current best practices for the protection of inventions and intellectual property

Requirements:

  • PhD or post-graduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Sciences, or Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Desirable to have an additional specialization in Intellectual Property
  • At least 13+ years of work experience in a reputable global pharmaceutical company with team handling skills
  • Experience in product IP clearances, patent drafting, and prosecution, as well as ancillary areas in a pharmaceutical organization
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a team-player capable of working in a deadline-dictated environment
