As a Graphic Designer at our organization, you will play a pivotal role in bringing complex scientific ideas to life through engaging visuals and content. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop visually engaging graphical abstracts that succinctly represent the essence of a scientific study.
  • Read and comprehend scientific manuscripts to extract key visual elements and concepts.
  • Develop storyboards that outline the visual narrative, ensuring alignment with the scientific content and client objectives.
  • Generate rough sketches to illustrate the initial visual concepts, collaborating closely with researchers, writers, and clients to refine and finalize the visual representation.
  • Reviewing your peers and freelancers' outputs to ensure they meet client expectations and are delivery-ready.
Qualifications:
  • A graduate degree in STEM fields (especially Biology/Biotechnology/Medicine/Chemistry/Physics/Engineering).
  • 3-5 years of experience in scientific graphic designing, communicating science and complex research into visually engaging output.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Creating 3D designs in Blender is an added advantage.
  • Experience in scientific graphic designing, medical illustrations, journal cover designs, and graphical abstract.
  • An understanding of the scientific publishing & science communication landscape.
