The Role

You will be part of a global team responsible for validating the performance of our CPUs. This involves having a deep understanding of existing AMD X86 CPU architecture and microarchitecture, debugging performance issues of RTL, and giving feedback to the design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building infrastructure for performance verification and verifying the performance of X86 processors
  • Writing specific targeted tests to measure the performance of the processor
  • Debugging triage of failures from simulation and emulation environment for CORE or sub level regressions
  • Writing automatized triages in Perl/Ruby and creating tools using perl/ruby or AMD verification methodology (primarily in C++) to enhance the functional debug and triage process

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience in processor/ASIC performance correlation
  • Experience in micro-architecture testing for modern high-performance processors
  • Strong programming skills (C/C++ and assembly)
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
