Procurement Specialist

Our company is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials and essential supplies for our bakery operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, market trends, supplier management, and supply chain operations to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality materials.

  1. Source and procure all raw materials and supplies required for bakery production
  2. Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and minimize wastage
  3. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best pricing and terms
  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  5. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and price fluctuations
  6. Analyse procurement data, forecast demand, and implement cost-saving strategies
  7. Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards for all sourced materials
  8. Collaborate with production and finance teams to align procurement with business needs
  9. Monitor and improve supply chain processes for efficiency and reliability
  10. Prepare reports on purchasing, costs, and inventory for management review
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, sourcing, and procurement practices
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Good understanding of raw material markets and pricing trends
  • Knowledge of market analysis and forecasting
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office and procurement software/tools
