Avionics Systems Engineer


Job Description

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced aerospace products. The successful candidate will create platform solutions for a wide portfolio of avionics products, enabling high business impact with reduced cost and cycle time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both hardware and software development life cycles. They will be responsible for creating robust avionics simulation benches for product families and configurations.

The Avionics Systems Engineer will leverage principles of simulation model-based development system design, systems integration, systems validation and verification, and certification. They will contribute to innovation and new product development (NPD) for enhancing the test systems design, cost, and cycle time.

The successful candidate will work closely with different stakeholders to understand project requirements, define overall vision, effectively communicate ideas and solutions to teams, and proactively connect with users and collaborate with product teams to understand the overall test solution needs.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of industry experience in avionics domain with hands-on experience in test solution development.
  • B.E./B.TECH or equivalent degree in electronics engineering or computer science.
  • Hands on experience in C/C++, C#, Python.
  • Hands on experience using different tools like MS Visio, Visual Studio, MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of different analog and digital communication protocols like RS422, A429, CAN bus etc.
