About the Job

As a Receivables Trainee, you will support the finance team in reconciling financial data between internal systems and external sources. Your attention to detail will be crucial in identifying mismatches and investigating root causes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Reconcile financial data between internal systems and external sources, such as customer portals, bank statements, and vendor reports.
  2. Investigate discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  3. Maintain reconciliation logs and prepare summary reports to ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance.
  4. Update reconciliation status in ERP systems and ensure data accuracy across platforms.
  5. Work closely with invoicing, credit control, and operations teams to ensure timely resolution of open items.
  6. Suggest improvements to reconciliation workflows and contribute to automation and reporting streamlining.

Requirements

  • Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in reconciliation, invoicing, or finance-related roles.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration (B.Com, M.Com, BBA, MBA preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial workflows.
  • Analytical & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A proactive mindset with a willingness to grow in a fast-paced financial environment.
