Job Title: Ophthalmic Specialist for Surgical Retina

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Specialist for Surgical Retina to join our team at Medico Hub Connect. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology, with a focus on surgical retina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat retinal disorders such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
  • Perform surgical procedures including vitrectomy, scleral buckling, laser therapy, and intravitreal injections.
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and imaging studies to determine the extent of retinal damage.
  • Provide preoperative and postoperative care and counselling to patients.
  • Manage and oversee the ophthalmic team and provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Participate in clinical research, contribute to academic publications, and stay updated on the latest advancements in retinal surgery.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Comply with all relevant legal and ethical standards in healthcare.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Residency in Ophthalmology from a recognized program.
  • Fellowship in surgical retina or equivalent specialized training.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology and/or Surgical Retina.
  • Valid state medical license to practice.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and managing complex retinal cases.
  • Demonstrated surgical skills in vitreoretinal procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing medical education.
  • High ethical standards and a patient-centric approach.
