Compliance Officer Role

Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking a skilled Compliance Officer to contribute to the development and implementation of effective compliance strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management principles, and internal control systems.

About the Position:

This role requires the ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines, identify compliance risks, and develop mitigation strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance: Monitor, analyze, and implement regulatory changes relevant to the business. Ensure timely filings and reporting to regulatory bodies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving compliance and regulatory requirements.
  2. Compliance Risk Management: Conduct regular internal reviews and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps. Develop corrective actions to mitigate identified risks and ensure timely closure.
  3. Policy Development and Documentation: Assist in drafting, updating, and implementing compliance policies and procedures. Maintain accurate documentation for internal compliance controls. Educate internal teams on compliance obligations through training and awareness programs.
  4. Audit and Reporting: Support internal, statutory, and regulatory audits. Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies. Act as a point of contact for compliance queries across departments.

Requirements:

  • CA (Inter), CS, or MBA (Finance)
  • 2–4 years of experience in compliance, internal audit, or risk management, preferably in financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of RBI, SEBI, FEMA, AML, and other financial regulations.
  • Experience with compliance monitoring tools and MS Excel-based reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
