Steel Melting Shop (SMS) Production Director Opportunity

About Pipal Biz

We are a leading integrated steel plant seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our Steel Melting Shop operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage SMS production processes, including furnace operation, ladle refining, and casting.
  • Ensure efficient, high-quality steel production by adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and optimize processes.
  • Lead and support a team of engineers, technicians, and workers in the SMS department.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Maintenance departments for smooth operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in a Steel Melting Shop production role, preferably as a manager or leader.
  • Expertise in steelmaking processes, including furnace operation, ladle refining, and casting.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in motivating and guiding teams towards common goals.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities, with the capacity to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
