Cloud Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform services.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, and secure cloud solutions.

Your role will involve ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions using Google Cloud Platform services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
  • Optimize cloud solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes
  • Monitor and maintain cloud systems to ensure high availability and reliability
  • Document technical designs, processes, and best practices
  • Write and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform
  • Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
  • Perform regular performance tuning and capacity planning for cloud resources
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs with GCP solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure coding standards and best practices
  • Implement security best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GCP services
  • Stay updated with the latest GCP features and industry trends
  • Mentor and guide junior developers on cloud development and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Developer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, and Cloud Functions
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
